The MSU Figure Skating Club is currently in its 14th year as a club sport. The MSUFSC offers both competitive synchronized skating and freestyle opportunities for MSU students. The skaters compete in several competitions throughout the year where they compete against other universities. There are currently at least 50 collegiate figure skating clubs registered with United States Figure Skating.

Synchronized Skating
Coaching Staff: Erin Bridge has been the head coach for the 2006-2007 and the 2007-2008 seasons. She is a Gold Medalist in Freeskate, Field Moves and Pre-gold in Dance. Erin is a four-time World Synchronized Skating Championship Medalist (2 Silver and 2 Bronze), a four-time Canadian Synchronized National Champion and a ten-time US/Canadian Synchronized National Medalist. Erin has an Honors B.A. in Geography with a specialization in GIS and Spatial Analysis from McMaster University.
Practice Schedule: MSU Collegiate Synchronized skating team practices three days a week.
Sunday: off-ice 6:15-7:00pm, on-ice 7:15-9:15pm

Monday: off-ice 7:30-8:30pm, on-ice 8:30-10:00pm

Freestyle Skating
In addition to a synchronized skating team, MSU also has a competitive freestyle skating team. Members of the team do not have a minimum test level requirement. Skaters attend at least two intercollegiate competitions each year, competiting in the following events: compulsory program, short program, long program, team maneuvers, and solo dance. Both low and high levels of each event are available. The requirements for each of these events and all of the levels within them are available upon request. Skaters can compete for both the freestyle team and synchronized skating team each year. The freestyle team has qualified for the Intercollegiate National Figure Skating Championships for the past three years.
